The World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) was formed in early 2015 to provide global certification in asset management and to support the introduction of the ISO 55001 asset management standard. It was created as a joint venture between 5 not for profit organisations on 4 continents and Sally Nugent took the role as the Executive Director. She was the key driving force behind the initiative to establish the WPiAM and instrumental in establishing the business.
The Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) exam has been introduced in more than a dozen countries across the world. The exam is currently conducted in three languages, English, Portuguese and Japanese. An estimated 800 people so far have written the exam, and more than 600 certificates have been issued. Growth in uptake of the exam has been 100% per annum over the last two years. The CAMA certification is now well established in many locations across the globe.
In 2018, Sally Nugent, now Managing Director of Salyent Pty Ltd, announced that her role as Executive Director of the World Partners in Asset Management officially concluded. Sally is focusing on publishing the efforts of the Asset Management Think Tank, a group of AM practitioners that has been distilling the fundamentals of asset management maturity, to illustrate organisational worth such as share price and safety that can be achieved.
